34 students from the High School affiliated with the National Chengchi University, Taiwan

2025.1.8

On 13 November, 34 junior and senior high school students from the National Chengchi University High School in Taiwan were hosted by our school.  The National Chengchi University High School was established in 2005 and is one of the top five public high schools in Taipei.  Like our school, it has one thing in common: it is a university-affiliated junior and senior high school.  During a one-week tour of Kyoto, Shiga and Osaka, the students approached our school with the hope of exchanging with a school designated as a Super Science High School (SSH), which made this exchange possible.

In the limited time available, we visited the classes of second and third year high school students, and took classes together while interacting with them.  Despite some language difficulties, the students actively communicated with each other and enjoyed the exchange, finding similarities and differences.

The headmaster of the High School affiliated with the National Chengchi University of Political Science, who led the students, said: ‘We are very happy to have received such a warm welcome.  I hope that the students of Ritsumeikan Moriyama High School will also visit Taiwan.’ I hope that Ritsumeikan Moriyama High School students will also visit Taiwan.

We hope that this exchange class will be a good opportunity for the students to deepen their ideas on international exchange and understanding in the future.
