We participated in the RoboCup Junior National Competition for multiple consecutive years.

2026.4.13

The RoboCup Junior Japan Open 2026 Aichi was held from March 27 (Friday) to March 29 (Sunday) at Aichi Institute of Technology, Yakusa Campus. This competition serves as the national tournament that also functions as a qualifying round for the world championship. Two teams from our school’s Sci-tech Club (Information Engineering Division), which advanced through the Keijina Block Tournament, participated.
The high school team “Air” (Asahi Uchida, Kengo Nakazawa, and Kosuke Kano), which competed in the Soccer Lightweight World Class category, achieved an outstanding record of 7 wins and 1 draw in all matches (held in a Swiss-system tournament among winners), earning them the national championship. Team Air will represent Japan at the world competition to be held in Incheon, South Korea, in July.
The junior high school team “VEGA” (Akihiro Kataoka, Daichi Kusashio, Riku Konishi, and Shota Nakagawa) achieved 6 wins, 1 loss (against Air), and 1 draw, finishing in 3rd place. This is a remarkable achievement, as they were the only junior high school team competing among top teams composed mainly of high school and technical college students. (They are currently awaiting confirmation regarding participation in the world competition, depending on Japan’s allocated slots.)
Moving forward, the Sci-tech Club will continue striving for top placements in national competitions and advancement to the world stage.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our students, alumni currently in university, and parents who supported the event as volunteer staff at the national competition.
