大阪模擬国連に参加しました

　7月2日と11日、関西インターナショナルハイスクールが主催する大阪模擬国連に本校生徒15名が参加しました。今回の模擬国連では、ジェンダー平等の達成とすべての女性と少女のエンパワーメントに焦点を当てたトピックが取り上げられました。現代において多くの国連加盟国が直面しているこの明確なグローバル課題を解決するための最善の方法について、150人以上の生徒が共に議論し、討論しました。その後、個々の条項を作成し、それを組み合わせて各テーマに対応する決議案を作成しました。
　今回の模擬国連で、生徒たちは地球規模の問題やSDGsの目標達成の難しさを学び、国際協力がより良い、より安全な未来を築くための鍵であることを学びました。また、発表や日本各地の高校生とのディスカッションは、全て英語で行いました。

On July 2nd and 11th, 15 of our students participated in the Osaka Model United Nations hosted by Kansai International High School. The topic this UN focused on was achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. Along with over 150 other students, we discussed and debated the best way to solve this distinct global issues that many member countries of the United Nations face in modern times. Afterwards, we composed individual clauses that were combined into an resolutions addressing each topic. In this MUN, our students learned a lot about global issues and the difficulties in accomplishing the goals set out by the SDGs, and learned how international cooperation is the key to building a better and more secure future for our world. They used English the entire time for their presentations and discussions with students from other international schools from around Japan.
